Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Welcome

The UCLA Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry is committed to promoting healthy development and wellbeing for all youth and families. Through innovative research; compassionate, evidence-based, and equitable care; and training programs that advance the next generation of leaders, we are building a future of health and opportunity for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families.

Our Division has a long tradition of leadership in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. Our integration with the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior and the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital distinguishes us, and it creates a platform for accelerating scientific discovery, advancing educational opportunity, supporting community partnership, and administering state-of-the-art clinical care. We are dedicated to using these rich resources—and the many talents of our remarkable community of learners, educators, clinicians, and researchers—to serve the needs of our community. In doing so, we root our work in the understanding that racism and discrimination of all kinds are harmful to mental health; that their effects extend across generations; and that we have individual and collective responsibility for creating and sustaining change in our institution and our community.
